A1. Who we are

RooQR is an Australian-owned QR code generator and digital bio page platform operated by AI8848, based in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). You can access our service through rooqr.base44.app and any associated domains, APIs, or web applications, together referred to as the Service.

RooQR provides tools to generate static QR codes, dynamic redirect QR codes, link-in-bio mobile profile pages, scan analytics, and separately purchased RooLogo AI logo credits.

For legal correspondence, our preferred address is contact@rooqr.com. An alternative contact for AI8848 is fiverrings@gmail.com.

A2. Agreeing to these Terms

By creating an account, signing in, generating QR codes, or otherwise using RooQR, you agree to Part A, our Privacy Policy, and, when subscribing to a paid plan, Part B. RooLogo purchases are also covered by Part C.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service. If you use RooQR on behalf of a company, partnership, sole proprietorship, or organization, you confirm that you have the legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

A3. Your account

To use RooQR's authenticated features, you must be at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility on your behalf. You must provide accurate email credentials, maintain the confidentiality of your sign-in method, and notify us immediately at contact@rooqr.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

A4. How RooQR codes work

Static QR codes: Encode your destination data directly into the QR pattern. Once generated, static codes cannot be modified, do not pass through our redirect servers, and function permanently without scan limits.

Static QR codes encode destination data directly and operate indefinitely without dependence on RooQR servers, our uptime, or your continued use of an account.

Dynamic QR codes: Point to a RooQR short URL that seamlessly redirects scanners to your configured destination. Dynamic codes allow you to change the destination address without reprinting the physical code and provide aggregated, pseudonymous scan estimates.

Dynamic links and custom @handles require an active RooQR account and are subject to fair use, anti-spam, and anti-cybersquatting policies. Handles are reserved on a first-come basis for genuine use; we may reclaim handles registered in bad faith, held purely for resale, or impersonating a person, brand, or trade mark. If your account is closed or terminated, dynamic redirects and hosted bio pages associated with it will cease to resolve, while any static codes you generated will continue to work.

A5. Destination links and content

You are solely responsible for the URLs, Wi-Fi keys, contact details, images, logos, and materials you encode into your QR codes or display on your bio pages ("Your Content").

You retain all rights to Your Content. You grant AI8848 a limited, non-exclusive license to host, route, process, and display Your Content only as necessary to provide, protect, and support the Service. We never sell your links or content to third parties.

A6. RooQR’s intellectual property

The RooQR name, kangaroo mascot logo, sticker design system, software, web interfaces, and documentation belong to AI8848 or our licensors. Using RooQR does not grant you ownership of our brand marks or underlying software. You must not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or distribute the platform without prior written approval.

A7. Plans at a glance

RooQR offers two primary tiers:

• Mate (Free tier): Designed exclusively for QR code generation. Includes unlimited static QR code creation, sticker styling controls, and standard PNG downloads. The Mate tier does not include hosted bio pages, dynamic redirect editing, or scan analytics.
• Big Red (Paid tier): Includes everything in Mate plus dynamic editable QR codes, custom link-in-bio pages, live analytics for up to 100,000 verified, abuse-filtered scans per calendar month (Australia/Sydney), device breakdowns and approximate location where available, custom logo upload, and vector SVG/PDF export. Analytics are estimates: repeat requests within 60 seconds, failed verification, and per-visitor or service-wide protective limits may be excluded. Analytics may pause when safety limits or verification services are unavailable, but this does not disable QR destinations.

Apple Wallet passes

Big Red members can add a QR code to Apple Wallet. The pass uses Apple Wallet's standard layout: Wallet draws its own plain QR code holding the same link, alongside RooQR branding and colours. The pass does not carry over the custom design you made in the RooQR editor, including dot and corner styles, colours, frames, logo shapes or Full Coverage artwork. The way you scan and where the code goes stay the same. Apple controls how Wallet displays passes, and that may change between iOS versions.

A8. Prohibited uses

You must not use RooQR to:

• Link to phishing pages, deceptive scams, malware, spyware, or malicious downloads;
• Promote illegal goods, unauthorized gambling, counterfeit items, or hate speech;
• Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or proprietary rights of third parties;
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, security headers, or rate limits;
• Harass, stalk, or mislead consumers.

We reserve the right to immediately deactivate dynamic short links or terminate accounts that breach these restrictions to safeguard the public and our network.

Reporting harmful content and copyright concerns

Use the “Report this page” link on a hosted bio page, or our contact form, to report scams, illegal material, privacy concerns or suspected copyright infringement. Include the page address, a clear reason and supporting evidence. Copyright reports should identify the original work, explain your ownership or authority to act, and provide contact details. We review reports and may request more information, remove content or suspend access; we do not promise that every uploaded link or file has been checked in advance. Creators may contact us to dispute a removal.

A9. Australian Consumer Law & our promises

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable consumer rights.

Subject to those statutory protections, RooQR is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI8848 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party camera scanners, device incompatibilities, or network downtime.

A10. Scan interruptions and external destinations

We do not warrant that dynamic redirects will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scan delivery depends on factors outside our control, including the scanner's device and camera app, mobile reception, DNS and internet routing, print quality and the physical condition of your printed code, and our hosting providers.

RooQR does not own, operate, or moderate the websites, files, or services your codes point to. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or content of any external destination, and we do not guarantee that a destination you configure will remain online. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to A9 and your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, AI8848 is not liable for lost sales, lost data, reputational harm, reprinting costs, or other loss arising from scan interruptions, redirect downtime, or an unavailable or changed external URL. We recommend testing every code before printing at scale and keeping a static fallback for safety-critical uses.
